With more than 70 years of combined experience in engineering and problem solving, we tackle many challenges. We have developed tools for subsea waterjet cutting and other submersible equipment.  A normal day consists of designing & Building manufacturing equipment which has been installed to straighten lawn mower blades, assembly parts and more. 

We work with your team to create your product or a complete manufacturing solution. This includes custom machines, automation, and robotics. We enjoy creating custom engineered machinery for a single part, a machine, or an entire system design and build.

Engineering Capabilities & Process 

Contract Engineering. We offer contract engineering services to our customers that have a need. Have a big project, but don’t have enough work for a full time engineer? We can offer contract design and engineering services to your team. 

Project Ideation: Project Specification, Brainstorm Ideas, Concept Selection, Develop Quote and Project Proposal for Concept, Budget and Timeline. 

Design and Build: develop the concept with initial testing, machine design, fabricate and assemble, and integration and controls

Engineering Drawings: Every machined part, weldment and assembly is modeled in Solidworks.

Application Use Analysis. We use Finite Element Analysis in our projects. It helps us see how a product will react in real-life situations. With FEA, we can test and adjust our products based on interactions with vibration, heat, load and stress.

The screenshot is an example of FEA using 1/4 symmetry of a mechanical component. Results helped isolate source of fatigue loading failure and necessary design changes to prevent re-occurrence.

Exact Results. We understand the importance of getting the performance of your product or system right. We will test, modify, and repeat until we meet the results. 

Deliverables. Completed project deliverables vary based on the project scope. We include CAD drawings, testing results, and research results as needed. We also provide part, assembly, and electrical drawings. Additionally, we include manuals, parts lists, equipment, tooling, and fixtures.

Custom Engineered Projects

 

Leak Resistant Mezzanine

Custom engineered, fabricated and painted with local shops. Removable railings and thru-floor access improved ease of machine installation and connection.

Measurement

A customer needed a device and a method to collect accurate data. This was necessary for challenging test conditions, such as using a sledgehammer and special materials. The current devices were expensive to replace and easily damaged during the testing process.

2-Port Swivel

2-Port Swivel designed for 55kpsi (UHP) water and vacuum slurry. Built and laboratory tested at operating conditions.

2-Section Mezzanine

Custom designed, fabricated and assembled.

Engineering & Development

BE developed equipment and tooling to perform underwater AWJ Multi-String Cutting (MSC).
