Waterjet Research & Development Project
BE developed equipment and tooling to perform this internal AWJ Multi-String Cut (MSC).
Customer wanted to demonstrate their equipment capability for subsea waterjet cutting. BE developed ambient pressure and linear motion control in a laboratory setting to perform many tests simulating depths up to 4000ft.
A customer wanted to demonstrate their equipment capability to remove concrete weight coating (CWC) at depth via waterjet blasting. BE designed, built and ran test equipment in 3 months. All tasks were performed within a pressure vessel including linear motion, sample rotation, waterjet parameter control and visual observation.
Internals of AWJ test cutting system capable of 2000psi ambient.
Test system suspended from Pressure Vessel lid. All control of test performed externally and routed through pass-thru’s to equipment.
Test apparatus suspended from large pressure vessel lid and ready for submersion.
